What are former PFP interns doing now?
Over the years, committed volunteers and interns have made our work possible.

- David Amiton, Summer Intern 2003
- After a year spent living in Seattle, where he worked in restaurants and interned at Washington Toxics Coalition, David moved down to Portland to serve as an Americorps volunteer in Portland State University's Sustainability Office. Since then, David completed coursework in geographic information systems at Portland State University and plans on pursuing a masters degree in urban planning in Fall 2007.
- Jes Pascual, Full Season Intern 2004
- Jes is currently co-manager at Phillies Bridge Farm in New Paltz, New York.
- Kate Mrozicki, Summer Intern 2004, 2005, Assistant Manager, 2006
- Kate is currently working for the Boston Food Project, in Boston, Massachussettes.
- Patrick Keeler, Summer Intern 2004
- Following his introduction to organic farming and the ins-and-outs of CSA management at the PFP in the summer of 2004, Patrick went on to finish his graduate work researching organic farming as a social movement and its responses to the USDA's National Organic Program. Upon receiving his MA in Environmental Policy at Clark University the Spring of 2005, Patrick signed-on as a farm apprentice at Peacework Farm in Newark, NY. Patrick has since been hired as the School Garden and Urban Farm Manager for a not-for-profit organization in Rochester, NY, called Rochester Roots, where organically-grown vegetables, herbs and flowers are grown on and around the grounds of three City of Rochester elementary schools.
- Laura Sproch, Summer Intern 2005
- Laura lives in NYC and is a student at Hofstra University working toward a doctorate in clinical and school psychology. She plans on working as a school psychology intern in a school district next year and have begun research on eating disorders, her area of interest. Laura intensely misses "that summer on the farm" and loves frequenting the Union Square Farmer's Market.
- Lydia Deere, Summer Intern 2005
- Lydia has been living in Washington State working on a 12 acre producation
organic farm outside of Olympia in the small town of Rochester. This winter she became a partner on one of the newer farms in the valley, Wobbly Cart, with a small CSA and selling at farmers'markets. "The day I started work at the PFP I never would have guessed that I would come to love farming as much as I do. I owe so much to the PFP and specifically Wendy and Asher for teaching me and boosting my self confidence. I still feel like I am very much only beginning, but I'm excited to see where it all takes me."
- Shaun Clarke, Summer Intern 2005
- After the PFP, Shaun Clarke worked on large organic farms in Western MA, and is now working on starting gardens in Mexico. He uses the John Jeavons grow bio-intensive method in his gardens, growing more food on less land, of course organically, the only way. "plant seeds and sing songs, I am very thankful for my experience at PFP."
