PFP Membership

Join us, and help to grow a just and sustainable food system in the mid-Hudson Valley!

Your tax-deductible contribution will support our food justice and education programs including:

  • Food Share, which works toward improving access to fresh, healthy food for low-income people in Poughkeepsie and beyond through food donations, sponsored CSA shares, sponsorship of the City of Poughkeepsie Farmers Market and community education.
  • City Seeds, which provides opportunities for young people, aged 14–24, to learn and engage in urban farming and gardening, community education, farm marketing, food policy, and seed saving, and to make a difference in their community.
  • Community Education and Outreach, which includes educational farm tours for school and community groups, community events, how-to workshops, and our seasonal newsletter.

In addition to making these programs possible, as a member of PFP you will:

  • Receive our seasonal newsletter and e-mails about PFP events and other local food and farming topics
  • Receive member discounts at the PFP booth at the City of Poughkeepsie Farmers’ Market and at PFP events
  • Become eligible to be a CSA shareholder, space permitting*

To become a PFP member, please complete a membership form today and send it to: PFP, P.O. Box 3143, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.

*If you are also interested in becoming a CSA shareholder, please send us an e-mail at info@farmproject.org.  We will add you to our waiting list so that we can contact you this season if a space becomes available or next season when spaces become available. The CSA is just about full and we still have a lengthy waiting list for 2008.  Student fall shares and full season sponsored shares are still available at this time.  Please contact us to ask for a form if you are a student or if think you may be eligible for assistance.
