HERBS FOR HEALTH AND HEALING

PFP’s resident herbalist, Beatrix M. Clarke RN, is leading this six-part course on medicinal herbs and how to use them. You will learn how to identify wild and cultivated herbs, their benefits, and how to prepare herbal products. This is a multi-session workshop series; participants must register for all sessions: 3rd Mondays in April, May, June, September, October, November 4:00-6:00 pm. Check out the course description

Join Ellie Limpert, Education Manager of Poughkeepsie Farm Project, to learn which garden vegetables benefit each other when grown together and which should be grown apart. The session will also touch on some flowers and herbs that can benefit your vegetable crops. This workshop is part of the Mid Hudson Heritage Center's "Loving the Earth" event focused on reaching sustainability through every day life.

Have you always wanted to garden, but do not have the space? Join Jamie Levato, Education Director of Poughkeepsie Farm Project, to learn how to grow food in tiny spaces like flowerpots on a patio or balcony. They will also provide information about the local community garden plots that are available at a very low cost. Participants will go home with a pot, soil, and something to plant! This workshop is part of the Mid Hudson Heritage Center's "Loving the Earth" event focused on reaching sustainability through every day life. This workshop is free, but registration is required.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their leftover or saved seed to swap with others. Please do not bring seeds for any invasive species.
