Wholesale Coordinator

The farm crew has filled all available positions for 2017! Please check back again next season!

In addition to duties associated with the field crew, the Wholesale Coordinator manages sales to restaurants and institutions. Specifically, this individual:

  • Determines produce availability and communicates with buyers
  • Communicates regularly with customers and seeks new customers when needed
  • Coordinates wholesale harvest with the crew manager and staff
  • Communicates with office staff to ensure accurate record-keeping

Educational Benefits and Compensation

Over the course of the season, crew members engage in a wide range of farming activities and further develop skills including:

  • Greenhouse seeding and maintenance
  •  Transplanting and farm bed preparation
  • Growing in high tunnels
  • Crop management, pest control, and irrigation
  • Harvest and CSA distribution set-up
  • Managing farm volunteers and CSA members
  •  Tractor operation, safety, and maintenance
  • Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farming Training (CRAFT) farm visits

Compensation for these positions includes:

  •  A competitive hourly wage determined by position and experience (Work weeks range from 40 to 45 hours a week, depending on the time of the year)
  • A produce share
  • Experience-based training in all areas of farm production

  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work with groups of shareholders, volunteers, and students
  • Meaningful farm experience (minimum of summer internship or equivalent)
  • Marketing or Produce Buying Experience
  • Ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
