Educational Benefits and Compensation
Over the course of the season, crew members engage in a wide range of farming activities and further develop skills including:
- Greenhouse seeding and maintenance
- Transplanting and farm bed preparation
- Growing in high tunnels
- Crop management, pest control, and irrigation
- Harvest and CSA distribution set-up
- Managing farm volunteers and CSA members
- Tractor operation, safety, and maintenance
- Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farming Training (CRAFT) farm visits
Compensation for these positions includes:
- A competitive hourly wage determined by position and experience (Work weeks range from 40 to 45 hours a week, depending on the time of the year)
- A produce share
- Experience-based training in all areas of farm production
Who we invite to apply
We seek dependable, good-natured individuals with active interests and experience in food and farming. Applicants should also have:
- Good communication skills
- Willingness to work with groups of shareholders, volunteers, and students
- Meaningful farm experience (minimum of summer internship or equivalent; marketing experience for the wholesale position)
- Ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
