Educational Benefits and Compensation

Over the course of the season, crew members engage in a wide range of farming activities and further develop skills including:

  • Greenhouse seeding and maintenance
  • Transplanting and farm bed preparation
  •  Growing in high tunnels
  • Crop management, pest control, and irrigation
  • Harvest and CSA distribution set-up
  • Managing farm volunteers and CSA members
  • Tractor operation, safety, and maintenance
  • Collaborative Regional Alliance for Farming Training (CRAFT) farm visits

Compensation for these positions includes:

  • A competitive hourly wage determined by position and experience (Work weeks range from 40 to 45 hours a week, depending on the time of the year)
  • A produce share
  • Experience-based training in all areas of farm production

Who we invite to apply

We seek dependable, good-natured individuals with active interests and experience in food and farming. Applicants should also have:

  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work with groups of shareholders, volunteers, and students
  • Meaningful farm experience (minimum of summer internship or equivalent; marketing experience for the wholesale position)
  • Ability to comfortably lift 50 pounds and work in all weather conditions
