Description: Cascading habit makes this late spring flower perfect for windowboxes or terrace edges. Widely recognized as a nectar source for beneficial insects. Frost resistant.
Growing Tip: Though an annual, it sometimes re-seeds.

Bachelor's Button, Blue Cornflower, “Choice Mix” – Centaurea cyanus
Description: Classic cornflowers in blue, pink, white, and red blossoms. Use edible flowers to brighten salads, desserts or drinks

Celosia, “Pampas Plume” – Celosia argentea
Description: Masses of soft, feathery 2-6” plumes in scarlet, yellow, cream, and pink. Also known as cockscomb.
Growing Tips: Promote branching by pinching plant when 6-8” tall

Love in a Mist Nigella - Nigella damascena
Description: Beautiful blooms and unusual seed pods. Blue, mauve, pink, purple, and white blooms clothed in a lacy netting of greenery. Heirloom favorite for fresh or dried flowers.
Growing Tips: Average soil with good drainage.

Strawberry Fields Gomphrenea - Gomphrena haageana
Description: Also known as pot marigold or common marigold, these easy to grow flowers have bright orange blooms reminiscent of gerber daisies. Petals are edible and have a floral, slightly bitter flavor.
Growing Tips: Any soil with good drainage.

Sunball Craspedia - Craspedia globosa
Description: One inch yellow globes atop grass-like, silvery green foliage. As a cut flower, it has a long vase life and as a dried flower, it retains its color.

Ageratum, “Yellow Lonas” - Ageratum houstonianum
Description: Yellow Ageratum produces attractive, small, bright-yellow button-like flowers with wiry stems and blooms all summer long attracting butterflies to the garden.

Dyer’s Coreopsis – Coreopsis tinctoria
Description: A cheerful, fast-growing annual with yellow daisy-like petals surrounding a dark red center. Great for cutting and pollinators.

Cosmos “Rubenza” - Cosmos bipinnatus
Description: Daisy-style flowers atop sturdy 2-3’ stems. These unique puffy flowers are mix of pink, red, and burgundy and make a great cut flower. Likes well-drained soil. Annual.

Marigold, “Durango Outback Mix” - Tegetes patula
Description: Full, orange-and-yellow, double blooms cover these short plants. This variety is great for small spaces: containers, raised beds, or borders. Their short height won't shade out other plants.
Growing tip: Marigolds are a great companion plant (they deter bad bugs), so plant near your kale, broccoli, cucumbers, and more.

Marigold, “Giant Orange” – Tagetes erecta
Description: Large flower heads, avg. 3", sit atop sturdy plants. These giant marigolds are prolific producers for cuts as well as excellent garden performers. Edible flowers.
Growing Tips: High temperatures can cause bloom production to stall. Deadhead regularly to increase blooms.

Marigold, “Queen Sofia” – Tagetes patula
Description: Attracts beneficial insects such as hoverflies. Leaves of the plant are edible and are used as flavorful salad greens and garnish. Also known as French marigold.

Description: Orange, daisy-like blossoms that last until first frost. A heavy nectar producer beneficial for bees and butterflies.

Sunflower, “Autumn Beauty” – Helianthus anuus
Description: A branching sunflower producing many long stems with bold, beautiful flowers up to 8” across. Flowers are bronze, purple, bright yellow, and burgundy, reminiscent of fall foliage.
Growing Tips: Pollen bearing, good for bees and other pollinators.

Sunflower “Hopi Black Dye” – Tithonia Rotundifolia
Description: A tall, culturally significant Native American heirloom with yellow petals and a dark center, grown for its edible seeds and the purple-black dye from its hulls.
Growing Tip: Prefers well-drained, fertile soil; can grow quite large, making it a good choice for screen plantings.

Poppy, California - Eschscholzia californica
Description: These poppies have 2-3” vibrant orange blooms and feathery silver-blue foliage. They are drought tolerant and bloom throughout the summer. Plant outside once danger of frost has passed.
