Description: Bushy, Midwestern native, foliage and flowers permeate the air with sweet licorice fragrance. Used to make tea and known to attract beneficial insects. Tender perennial grown as an annual.

Bee Balm (aka Wild Bergamot) - Monarda didyma

Joe Pye Weed - Eutrochium purpureum
Late-blooming wildflower. Grows in upright clumps that reach several feet tall. Its thick stems have lance-shaped, serrated dark green leaves, and in midsummer tiny mauve flowers bloom in large clusters atop the stems. Flowers have a sweet vanilla scent and are especially attractive to butterflies and other pollinators.
